Sharon Flowers

A few days ago the world lost an unparalleled daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Sharon Monique Flowers, age 53 of Brooklyn, New York and formerly of Chadbourn died on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, New York.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pine Log Rd, Whiteville, NC 28472 with Rev. Ricky Mason as eulogist. Burial will follow the service at Belvue Cemetery, 1055 Clarendon-Chadbourn Road, Chadbourn.

A viewing will be held from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at D&A Funeral Services Chapel, 212 South Wilkes Street, Chadbourn..

She is survived by her parents, Margie Flowers of Chadbourn and Dennis Freeman of Brooklyn, New York; ten children Andre' Bellamy and Johnathan(Sadreda) Cromartie all of Charlotte, Eugene Cromartie, Axzavier Cromartie, Christopher Cromartie, and Elijah Flowers-Carter all of Chadbourn, Isiah Johnson of New York, Destiny Flowers of New Jersey, Saroya Calender and Idiara Flowers both of Connecticut; eighteen grandchildren (two preceded her in death); two uncles Donzie(Carolyn) Flowers of New York and Donald Ray Flower of Chadbourn; two aunts Mary Flowers of New York and Marcene(Paul) Brown of Detroit, Michigan; a special sister Brenda Baker of Chadbourn; and a special cousin Chere Antionette Flowers of Brooklyn, New York;. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive guests at 609 S. Wilkes Chadbourn, North Carolina.
