Perry Mason

Perry Mason, age 57, of the Grist Community in Chadbourn, went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 10, 2020, at his home, with his beloved wife and family at his side. 

Perry was born on December 29, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Stonewall Mason and Mary Brown Stephens of Chadbourn. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Mt. Moriah Memorial Gardens in Chadbourn, Pastor Rico Chestnut.  Pastor Darryl Hardy, Sr. of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. 

A walk-through viewing will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., on Wednesday evening, at D&A Funeral Services, Inc. Chapel, 212 South Wilkes Street, Chadbourn, North Carolina.

*All attendees must wear a mask and social distancing must be practiced!*

To cherish his memory, Perry leaves behind a beloved wife, Mary Mason, of the home; two daughters Vanessa Tart of Whiteville, North Carolina and Shareika Ladson of Virgina Beach, Virginia; two sons Mando Pridgen of Ft. Carson, Colorado and Chris Pridgen of Whiteville, North Carolina; eight grandchildren Jayden Tart, Chrishawn Thomas, Jordan Pridgen, Xavion Pridgen, Christy Thomas, Savion Pridgen, Easton Pridgen, and Mando Pridgen, II; two sisters Annie Everette (Harvey) Prince George, Virginia and Marvis Mason of Henrico, North Carolina; three brothers Robert Stephens (Margo) of Clarkton, North Carolina, Quincie Stephens of Lumberton, North Carolina and Robert Vincent of Henrico, North Carolina.  Perry also leaves to cherish his memory one aunt Elsie Ray Brown of Chadbourn, North Carolina, and a father-in-law James Fleming Pridgen of Whiteville, North Carolina.
