Mr Rossie Best Jr

Rossie Best, Jr., age 87 of Chadbourn, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning, May 24, 2020, at his home, with family by his side. Rossie was born on March 8, 1933, in Columbus County and was the son of the late Millie & Rossie Best Sr.

Graveside services for immediate family only will be held Monday, June 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., in the H & C Best Family Cemetery, 692 McMillian Road, Whiteville. Walk-through viewing will be Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the D&A Funeral Services Chapel in Chadbourn.

Rossie leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Annie Best, of the home; sons, Rossie Best III, Roderic (Chryrisse) Best, both of Jersey City, Stephen Bernard Murphy of Florida, Rossi (Felicia) Best of Piscataway, NJ, Michael Leggette of Bennettsville, SC; daughters, Yasmin Best, Anita Best, Lisa Perry all of Jersey City, Sharia (Frank) Hyatte of Phillipsburg, NJ, Regina (Kenneth) Best of East Orange, NJ; brothers Otis (Afalia) Best, Lafeyette Best, both of Whiteville; sister, Wynoloa (Richard) Peacock of Whiteville; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
