Lonnie Gene "Buck" Inman

July 15, 1949 — April 7, 2021

Lonnie Gene "Buck" Inman, age 71, of Chadbourn peacefully slipped into eternity on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Buck, as he was affectionately known, was born on July 15, 1949. He was the son of the late Lonnie, Sr. and Louivan Dennis Inman. He was preceded in death by two sons Lonnie Shaquan Inman and Jardene Williams; brothers Bobby Inman and James Inman; and sisters Mary Alice Williams and Annie Ruth Inman.

A memorial service celebrating Lonnie's life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Zion Freewill Baptist Church, 415 W Institute St, Chadbourn with Elder Wendell Gore officiating. 

A walk-through viewing will be held from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at D&A Funeral Services Chapel.

Lonnie is survived by his sons Gregory Inman(Deloris Cooper) of Atlanta, Georgia and Christopher (Earlisha) Inman of Baltimore, Maryland; brothers Ronald (Mary) Inman of Loris, South Carolina and Milton Inman of Chadbourn, North Carolina; a sister Priscilla Inman of Hinesville, Georgia; three step-sisters Cora McNeil, Peggy Vereen, and Ruby Kelly of all Chadbourn, North Carolina; a sister-in-law Naomi Inman of Cusseta, Georgia;  grandchildren Shay Williams, Janna Inman, Gregory Inman, Jr., Sevon Alkins, Leah Barnes, Octavia Washington, Erica Bennett, Cierra Lewis, and Christopher Inman, Jr.; a special friend Mesh Davis. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Per the family request, all attendees are asked to please wear facial masks and practice social distancing for viewing and memorial service.

D&A Funeral Service, Inc. is serving the Inman family.
