Charles D. Gore

He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the  Dothan Masonic Lodge #200 of Chadbourn. 

Charles was born on September 14, 1942, in Columbus County, son of the late John Henry Gore and Christiana Keel Campbell. He was also preceded in death by wife,  Alice H. Gore; two sons, Albert Gore and Charles Gore, Jr.; one grandson Marcus Bullock; and six siblings, Jimmy R. Gore, Thomas H. Gore, Benita Biscoe, Joan Simmons, John L. Gore, and Williams L. Gore 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 5, 2023, at Belvue Cemetery, 1055 Clarendon-Chabourn Road, Chadbourn with Rev. Tommy Brown, Jr. officiating.  Interment with military honors and Masonic rites will follow in the cemetery. 

Surviving family include two daughters, Denise Bullock of Fair Bluff and Sandy Vogel of Fulda, Germany; two sons, John Henry Gore and Donald Gore both of University Place, WA; his sister, Williemenia Campbell of Chadbourn; four grandsons Corey Bullock, Owen Bullock, III, Louis Gore, and Alex Gore; nine great-grandchildren; three nieces, Joan Rosalyn Atkinson (Zeb), Emeka Langley, and Tasha (Billy) Virt; two nephews Ben Simmons, Jr. and Tyrell Biscoe; three great nieces Shayla Langley, Kieara Simmons, and Joanna Atkinson; and three great nephews Zebbie Atkinson, Brice Simmons, and Shawn Virt. A host of cousins and friends.
